which Require Filling out an Open Records Request (Georgia
Law Enforcement & The Open Records Act) are not available at
the West Precinct. These can be obtained from the Main
Office in Monroe where these records are housed. Please
allow three (3) working days for these files to be pulled.
The West Precinct was established to assist all citizens of
Walton County by providing an additional location to enhance
the services of Walton County Sheriff’s office.
This precinct provides many of the same services as the
headquarters in Monroe. This office has a full time
administrative staff to provide copies of incident and
accident reports as well as direct individuals or calls to
their respective departments, such as to apply for a
Temporary Protective Order, attain criminal histories, and
refer inquiries, comments or questions to the command staff.
In addition to uniform patrol we have an office for the
H.E.A.T. Unit (Highway Enforcement
Aggressive
Traffic). We also provide an ECHO Shift, which was designed
to supplement the Uniform Patrol Division by
providing additional patrol units during periods of high
call volume. This office also houses an extension of the
Criminal Investigations
Division, which provides a full time Detective who is
trained in all areas of criminal investigations and
specializes in crimes against persons.
