Quick Arrest After Two Bodies
Found Dead
February 2, 2008

Suspect quickly arrested after two bodies found at
7008 Memory Lane in Loganville on Friday, February
1, 2008 are determined to have been murdered. We are
pending results from autopsy and crime lab reports.
The deceased are identified as Daryll Spearman, 55
years of age, and Cherri Spearman, 52 years of age.
Evidence obtained at the scene led to the arrest of
Joshua Tyler Spearman, the son of the two deceased.
Joshua Tyler Spearman is 18 years of age and is
currently being held at the Walton County Jail.

Murder Quickly Solved
On Monday, January 28,
2008 Sheriffs deputies responded to a death
investigation at 4267 Jacks Creek Road in Monroe,
Georgia. Due to evidence at the scene, the Walton
County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation
Division was called in to investigate a suspicious
death. After an autopsy was completed, his death was
ruled as a murder.

Daniel Luke Ferguson, 17-year-old male, of 4256
Jack's Creek Road was arrested without incident at
his residence. He is charged with murder and is
currently in the Walton County Jail.

Servant Award
The Walton County
Chamber of Commerce awarded Chief Deputy Bruce
Wright of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office the
Public Servant Award.
Celebrating 60 years in the community, the Walton
County Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting
at Social Circle’s Standridge Color Corp. conference
center, inducting Lee Garrett as the new 2008
chairman of the board. |

Teens Killed
In Head-On Collision With Semi-Truck
Two young men were killed in a
head-on crash in Walton County. Officials said
18-year-old Corey Ridgeway and 19-year-old Scott
Eldridge were killed when their pickup truck crossed
the center line of Highway 11. They hit a semi-truck
head-on.
