Mathews Park

Mathews Park is a Community Park with passive recreation. There is a 3-acre lake, a trail that has been laid-out for cross country running, 2 pavilions, public restrooms and playground equipment
The Annual "Fishing Derby" is held here in the spring, and opens the Fishing season. Fishing is allowed after the Derbies- December.
An Environmental Study Area that was developed by the Soil Conservation Service and FFA of Monroe HS is a unique feature of the park.
