ROAD CLOSINGS:

New Hope Church Road will be closed to thru traffic beginning Monday, March 5th, from Lee Peters Road to Double Springs Church Road. This section will be closed for a period of 4-5 months to allow for the demolition and removal of the existing bridge over the Alcovy River, and the construction of a new wider bridge in this same location. It is anticipated that this section of New Hope Church Road will remain closed until construction of the new bridge is completed in August 2012.

A detour route will be established along Double Springs Church Road, Hwy 11, and US Hwy 78.

UPDATE:

NEW HOPE CHURCH ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT:
Demolition of the bridge has started. The bridge is out and is impassable! We also started the R.O.W. clearance.
CAUTION: The bridge is out and cannot be crossed!

DIRT ROADS:

If you are concerned about getting a dirt road paved, we now have a new "Dirt Road Paving" policy.  Please call our office @ 770-267-1350 for more information. 

When the weather permits, dust control will be applied to dirt roads.

MOWING OF THE RIGHT OF WAYS continues with crews following scheduled routes.  Please bear with us and we will get to your road as soon as possible.

POTHOLE PATCHING is an ongoing process. Please call 770-267-1350 to report any potholes.

ROUTINE DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE is also an ongoing process with two crews working to correct drainage problems throughout the county.  Please place a work order @ 770-267-1350 if you have any concerns.
